I was born and raised in Mando Zayi District, Khost Province, Afghanistan. Khost is the capital and the largest city of Khost Province. Khost is situated in the southeastern part of the country.
After completing high school in my village, I was admitted to Shaikh Zayed University (Khost University), where I declared an economics major but dropped out owing to financial difficulties in my family.
I have worked in many small to largest projects such as:
Afghan National Army Brigade Construction Project, Khost, Afghanistan.
Khost Provincial Hospital Construction Project, Khost, Afghanistan.
SIKA-East (Stability in the Key Area) Project
And many more.
I moved to the United States, under the Afghan Allies Protection Act of 2009, Section 602(b) of Division F, Title VI, of the Omnibus Appropriations Act, 2009, (Public Law 111-8), and the Special Immigrant Visa Program for Afghans who were employed by/on behalf of the United States Government and resettled in Yankton, South Dakota.
I was accepted to the University of South Dakota's Beacom School of Business and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in accounting. Currently pursuing a Master of Professional Accountancy.
I have served in the SD Army National Guard for many years; however, now, I am serving in the US regular army. I am also an employee of the federal independence agency FDIC.
